Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about private driving lessons, instructors, and the matchmaking process in Singapore.
Before your first practical lesson with a private driving instructor, you must ensure you hold a valid Provisional Driving Licence (PDL). Additionally, depending on where you intend to take your basic and final theory tests, you should have a valid candidate account registered with one of the official test centres in Singapore—such as ComfortDelGro Driving Centre (CDC in Ubi), Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC in Bukit Batok), or Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC in Woodlands).

On average, it takes 1 to 2 weeks to match you with an active private driving instructor (PDI) in Singapore who fits your preferences. However, this may vary depending on the availability of instructors in your area and the chosen driving centre (CDC, SSDC, or BBDC). In the rare case that the matching wait time exceeds 60 days, you will be eligible for a full refund of the agency fees paid to us.
After matching, you will liaise with your assigned instructor to arrange your first driving lesson. Waiting times for the first lesson may differ from instructor to instructor, with an average wait of 2 weeks.

Once we successfully match you with a suitable driving instructor, we will provide you with their contact information. You will contact and liaise with the instructor directly on WhatsApp to coordinate your first driving lesson, establish lesson schedules, and book subsequent sessions.
Our matching agency fees are paid upfront and cover our platform's operational costs. These agency fees will be made fully clear and transparent to you before you make any payment.
Please note that these agency fees cover our matching service only. Your actual practical driving lesson rates are determined independently by your assigned private driving instructor and must be paid directly to the PDI per lesson.

Apart from our agency fees, you will encounter other external fees throughout your driving journey. These are paid directly to the respective driving centres and instructors, and are not controlled or collected by us:
1. Driving Centre Fees: These include the enrolment/registration fee for your private candidate account, test booking fees (Basic Theory Test, Final Theory Test, and the Practical Driving Test), and mandatory simulator course fees.
2. Private Instructor Fees: In addition to regular per-lesson rates, individual instructors typically charge a one-off enrolment/registration fee and a car rental fee for your Traffic Police (TP) practical driving test day.
Please note that all external fees, including instructor-specific charges, are determined independently by the driving schools and instructors. These fees may vary, are subject to change, and may include other charges (such as circuit fees or warm-up sessions). You should verify all terms and fees directly with your assigned instructor and driving centre.

Most beginner learners require 15 to 20 hours of practical training to develop the necessary skills, road confidence, and familiarity with test routes to pass the practical driving test. However, the exact number of lessons depends on your individual learning pace, previous driving exposure, and comfort level behind the wheel.
